Spry Fox Games Developer Comes to Netflix

Netflix is buying one of the loveliest and coziest game creators Spry Fox. The company invests in another gaming experience, showing the major goal and the new accents on games. Spry Fox is a well-known developer of Alphabear and Cozy Grove games.

The new acquisition will extend the list of games available on Netflix. Spry Fox, the company known for the “cozy” games, will definitely bring new flavors to the catalog. Netflix made an official announcement this Monday. The new purchase that Netflix makes is not something unusual. During the last few years, the company has already bought 5 gaming studios, and this is the 6th acquisition.

According to Netflix, they don’t want to change anything in Spry Fox. The game developer will simply work for Netflix without changing their whole concept. The games we all know and love are still available for download on their usual platforms. CEO of Spry Fox, David Edery confirmed that all your favorite games are there and the studio is busy with the Cozy Grove 2, which Edery called the MMO without violence that will be even bigger than the previous part. The CEO said that they felt relief after the deal was finished since they now can stop worrying about the budget and focused on all the possibilities in the game.

Apart from Spry Fox, Netflix already has the Next Games, based in Helsinki, the Boss Fight Entertainment, Night School, as well as studios in Southern California and Finland that work internally. The new experience on Netflix was founded almost a year ago. Subscribers received the possibility to play games via the streaming platform. Without any extra charge paid members could add iOS and Android games to their collection, apart from watching their favorite TV shows and movies.
