While Rockstar Solves Problems With NFTs, GTA 5 RP Server Created for Lil Durk Will Not Work
- 23 Nov 2022
The rapper Lil Durk server in GTA 5 RP will be temporarily down while Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar crackdown on cryptocurrency and NFTs in GTA Online and sandbox game. Recently, Rockstar Games announced that they will be applying an “enforcement policy” in the case of the creation and sale of loot boxes for Grand Theft Auto 5. In view of this, a number of lawsuits will be filed regarding the exchange of “crypto assets” and cryptocurrencies such as NFTs.
The famous rapper Lil Durk some time ago hosted a server for a GTA 5 RP called Trenches. This server became a place where challenges and themed events for GTA 5 players were regularly held. Also, in-game items could be purchased there, among which were houses, cars, and priority access. All purchases could be made through the online store 'OFT Gaming'. A recent statement on the Trenches server, as well as on the online store itself, states that all trading operations will be temporarily suspended until a server check from Rockstar and Take-Two is completed.
The official statement says that the company's legal counsel contacted the owners of the server in order to temporarily disable them for review. The issue was resolved peacefully, and Take-Two's requirements were fully met, in connection with which on Sunday from 12-00 Trenches will stop its work in order to be checked. It is not yet known whether this is due to the updated policy for GTA Online or some other reasons.
Is the Trenches server really violating Rockstar policies, or is this check unfounded? Do you think the Lil Durk server will continue to work or will it be permanently shut down? Please share your thoughts below.
