Google's Photo Selection App is Now Available on All Android Phones
- 10/20/2022

Google's new photo picker is now available on virtually all Android phones, and it's a welcome addition for anyone who's ever had to scroll through a gallery of photos on a small screen. The picker, which was first announced at Google I/O last May, allows you to select photos from your camera roll or Google Photos without having to open the full gallery app.
The update includes a new feature that allows users to select their photos from a variety of sources, including their camera roll, Google Photos, and Facebook.
The update also includes a new way to share photos with your contacts. Now, when you select a photo, you can choose to share it with a specific contact or group of contacts. You can also choose to share it with everyone in your Google account.
To use the picker, simply open the app you want to use it in (like Gmail or Hangouts) and tap the photo icon. You'll see a new icon in the upper-right corner that looks like a grid of dots. Tap that, and you'll be able to select photos from your camera roll or Google Photos without having to open the full gallery app.
The picker is a welcome addition for anyone who's ever had to scroll through a gallery of photos on a small screen. And it's especially useful for people who use Google Photos, which offers unlimited photo storage for free.
The update is available now and should be rolling out to all users in the coming days.
